The Grumpy Mesh Board delivers a full 1 watt of output power, giving you maximum range for your MeshCore repeater. The board has been tested under many conditions and still has been proven to output 1 watt, Shown on the side a Spectrum Analyzer plot.
The Grumpy Mesh Board accepts 5V input and is designed to work seamlessly with the Waveshare power board; or any other 5v power source; available as an option when you order. Unlike Heltec and RAK devices that can't recover once battery voltage drops too low (requiring an external solar controller that removes the ability to monitor battery level), the Grumpy Board features graceful power down when voltage gets low and automatically recovers when power returns. You can monitor battery level in real-time, giving you complete peace of mind over your solar deployment's.
The Grumpy Mesh Board features a built-in expansion port, allowing you to add additional accessories like temperature sensors to monitor your enclosure or outside temperature, a wind sensor, rain sensor, and almost anything you'd like. With open documentation on how to use it, the possibilities are endless.
